Dependendo do modo como o administrador do telefone configurou o sistema do seu telefone, este poderá efectuar e receber chamadas seguras.

O telefone pode suportar os seguintes tipos de chamadas:

Chamada autenticada: foram verificadas as identidades de todos os telefones participantes na chamada.

Chamada encriptada: o telefone recebe e transmite dados de áudio encriptados (a sua conversação) dentro da rede IP da Cisco. As chamadas encriptadas também são autenticadas.

Chamada não-segura: pelo menos um dos telefones participantes ou a ligação não suporta estas funcionalidades de segurança ou os telefones não podem ser verificados.
