Emergency broadcast

If an emergency broadcast is received, all the function mode operations are stopped. “ALARM” appears on the screen and the emergency broadcast can be heard.

●Cancelling an emergency broadcast

1.Touch the [Option] key on the RDS mode screen to display the RDS menu.

2.Touch the [OFF] key of the AF item. The emergency broadcast reception is cancelled.

Volume setting of TA, emergency broadcast (ALARM) and PTY

The volume for TA, ALARM and PTY interrupts can be set during TA, ALARM or PTY interrupt.

• The factory default setting is “15”.

1.Press the [+] or [–] button repeatedly to set the volume to the desired level (00 to 33) during a TA, ALARM or PTY interrupt.

•When the TA, ALARM or PTY interrupt ends, the volume returns to the level before the interrupt.

Switching the PTY display language

You can select one of 4 languages (English, German, Swedish or French) for the PTY displayed on the screen.

• The factory default setting is “ENGLISH”.

1.Press the [ADJ] button, and touch the [GENERAL] key.

2.Touch the [C] key to select PTY LANGUAGE item.

3.Touch the []] key of the PTY LANGUAGE item, and touch the desired language key to change the setting.

4.Touch the [Back] key to return to the previous screen.

Displaying radio text

When the station receiving broadcasts text data, you can display the data on the screen.

1.Touch the []] key on the RDS mode screen. The received radio text (R Text) is displayed on the screen.
