Install 3rd Party PCI Express Card

Install PCI Express cards following PCI Express card manufacturer’s recommendations. Some PCI Express card manufacturers recommend that you install their software driver(s), if required, prior to installing the hardware. If this is the case, you should install their driver before you connect and power up your Magma ExpressBox1.

Make sure that the PCI Express card is fully seated in the connectors. When correctly seated in the connector, you will notice a firm resistance when you pull up gently on the card. To keep the card in place, secure it in the enclosure with its retaining screw (supplied with the Magma ExpressBox1).

WARNING

Magma ExpressBox1 provides up to 55 watts of power for the 3rd Party card. Installing a card requiring more than 55 watts of power will damage the power supply inside Magma ExpressBox11. It is common for high-end graphics cards to require more than 55 watts. Contact the PCI Express card manufacture to determine the power requirements for your card. Magma ExpressBox1 is not intended to be used with “double-wide” graphics cards.
