The generator should be started at least once every seven days and aliowed to run at ieast30 minutes, if this cannot be done and you must store the unit for more than 30 days, use the following information as a guide to prepare it for storage.

oTurn generator OFFand let it cool at least 2 minutes before
rernoving fuel cap. Loosen cap slowly to relieve pressure in tank.
•Drain fuel tank outdoors.
oKeepfuel away from sparks, open flarnes, pilot lights, heat, and other ignition sources.
o DO NOT light a cigarette or smoke.
Change eil
While engine is still warm, drain oil from crankcase. Refill with recommended grade.

*Install spark plug and crank slowly to distribute oil.

Other Storage Tips
1.DO NOTstore fuei from one seasonto another unless it has beentreated as describedin Protect Fuel System.
2.Replacefuel can if it starts to rust. Contaminatedfuel will cause engine probiems.
. If possible, store unit indoors and cover it to give protection from dust and dirt.
. Coverunit with a suitable protective cover that does not retain moisture.

,If cartridge is almost empty or empty, repiace with a new fuei preserver cartridge foliowing the instructions in Fresh StarY Fuel Cap.
If fuei preserver is not used, remove aii fuel from tank and run engine until it stops from lack of fuel.
