PREPARING THE ENGINE

Equipmentstoredwithfuel canbecomestalewhenstoredover30 days.Stalefuel causesacid andgumdepositsto formin fuel system or onessentialcarburetorparts. Mixfuel stabilizerwithfuelin tankor storagecontainer.Runenginefora shorttimeto circulatestabilizer throughcarburetorandengine.Engineandfuelwithstabilizercan be storedupto 24months.

IMPORTANT:Iffuel stabilizerisnot used,you needto draingasoline fromequipmentpriorto storage.

Performthe followingbeforelong-termstorageof equipment:

1.Whileengineis stillwarm,changeoil.

2.Removesparkplugand pourapproximately1/2 oz. (15ml)of new engineoil intosparkplugcavitywhichputsoil intocylinder. Replacesparkplugsecurely.

3.Pullstarterropeslowly.Thisturnsthe engine'scrankshaftand distributesoil throughthe engine.

4.Addfuel stabilizeror drainfuelfromengine.

5.Cleandirt anddebrisfromtopandall areasaroundengine.

6.Storein a clean,dry area.

PREPARING THE LAWN MOWER

Cleanandlubricatemowerthoroughlyas describedinthe lubrica- tion instructions.

Donot usea pressurewasheror gardenhoseto cleanyour unit.

Coatmower'scuttingbladewithchassisgreaseto prevent rusting.

Store mowerin a dry,cleanarea. Do notstorenextto corrosive materials,suchas fertilizer.

Whenstoringany typeof powerequipmentina poorlyventilatedor metalstorageshed,care shouldbetakento rust-prooftheequipment. Usinga lightoil orsilicone,coatthe equipment,especiallycablesand all movingpartsof yourlawnmowerbeforestorage.

Battery

The batterymustbestoredwitha full charge.Extendedstorageof a dischargedbatterywill reducelifeandcapacityof the battery.
