3 USE AND OPERATION 3.1 POWERING ON/OFF
Connect the Rhino-NET™ to a power source, either Vehicle battery (see par. 2.5) or an AC
ADAPTER. The power (on/off) switch is a toggle switch located on the bottom of the Rhino-
NET™.
The Power LED located on the front panel of Rhino-NET™ is lit when power is applied to the
terminal but the power switch is off.
CAUTION
Always switch the terminal off prior to connecting or disconnecting any
power source.

CAUTION
Powering off the Rhino-NET™, before a write to disk function has
completed, may result in the corruption of data on the hard drive.
Switch on the terminal: you are now ready to use Rhino-NET™.
After the boot sequence the Windows CE.NET desktop appears on the Rhino-NET™ display:

By running your application program or the Barcode Reader application, you can collect data
using a peripheral barcode scanner, see par. 3.6 for details.
