Troubleshooting
CAUTION: This product supports multiple VGA modes. This flat-panel monitor is pre-adjusted
in the factory with standard VGA timings. Due to output timing difference among various VGA
cards in the market, you may initially experience an unstable or unclear display when a new display
mode or new VGA card is selected.
CAUTION: Display optimization can not be assured if the mode chosen is not supported in the
list.
CAUTION: If the video signal passes through an interface device when the signal is sent to the
monitor, that device may limit the available video modes.

Issue: Display is unclear or unstable.

If the display is unclear or unstable, use the following procedure to achieve the best flat panel
performance for systems running a Microsoft® Windows® operating system:
1Enter the initial step to shutdown the operating system by clicking the Start button and then clicking
Shut Down.
2If any "black noise" vertical stripes appear, use the Clock function in the OSD menu to adjust
display until those bars disappear.
3Use the Phase function to adjust the monitor screen.
4Click No on Shut Down Windows to return to the normal operating system environment.
You can also use the Auto Adjustment function to adjust the flat panel monitor. Reference "Adjusting the
Monitor Display" section on page 1-10.

Issue: There is no display on the flat-panel monitor.

If there is no display on the flat-panel monitor, use the following procedure:
1Make sure the power indicator is illuminated, all connections are secured, and the system is
operating on a supported timing. See "Specifications" section for more information.
2Turn off the flat-panel monitor and then turn it on again. Press the or function button
and then press either or adjustment button several times.
3If step 2 does not work, connect your system with another external monitor (either CRT or flat-
panel monitor). If your system is operating and functioning properly with the external monitor, the
output timing of the VGA card may be out of flat-panel monitor’s synchronous range. Try to
change to a supported timing listed in "Specifications" section or replace the VGA card and then
repeat steps 1 and 2.
4If the above steps do not correct the issue, please contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Issue: "Input Signal Out of Range" message in the OSD.

If you choose an output timing that is outside the synchronous range of the flat panel monitor, the OSD
displays an "Input Signal Out of Range" message. Choose another mode that is supported by the flat
panel monitor. See the "Specifications" section for information on timing.

Issue: "No Signal" message in the OSD.

Please check the video cable connection to the host system.
