Installer ekstra programvare eller enheter.

Før du installerer enheter eller programvare, som ikke ble levert med datamaskinen, må du lese dokumentasjonen som fulgte med programvaren eller enheten, eller ta kontakt med forhandleren for å bekrefte at programvaren eller enheten er kompatibel med datamaskinen og operativsystemet.

1.Gå til support.dell.com.

2.Svar på spørsmålene på webområdet som ber deg oppgi spesifikk informasjon om datamaskinen.

3.På hjemmesiden til Dell Support, klikker du koblingen User Guides (brukerhåndbøker) under Product Support (produktsupport), klikk Systems og velg deretter Dell Precision- datamaskinen.

Åpne datamaskindekselet

OBS: Før du utfører noen av prosedyrene i denne delen, må du følge sikkerhetsanvisningene i produktveiledningen.

1.Slå av datamaskinen via Start-menyen.

2.Kontroller at både datamaskinen og tilkoblede enheter er slått av. Hvis datamaskinen og tilkoblede enheter ikke ble slått av automatisk da du slo av datamaskinen, skal de slås av nå.

ANMERKNING: Nettverkskabelen frakobles ved først å koble kabelen fra datamaskinen og deretter fra nettverkskontakten i veggen.

3.Koble alle telefon- eller telekommunikasjonslinjer fra datamaskinen.

4.Trekk datamaskinen og alle tilkoblede enheter ut av elektriske stikkontakter, og trykk deretter på av/på-knappen for å forbinde hovedkortet til jord.

5.Hvis du har satt en hengelås i hengelåsringen på bakpanelet, skal hengelåsen fjernes.

OBS: Unngå elektrisk støt. Trekk alltid ut strømledningen til datamaskinen fra stikkontakten før du åpner dekselet.

6.Legg datamaskinen på siden som vist i følgende illustrasjoner.

ANMERKNING: Kontroller at det er nok plass for det åpne dekselet–minst 30 cm (1 fot) med plass på skrivebordet.
