Power Distribution Board (Service-Only Procedure)

Removing the Power Distribution Board

CAUTION: Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system cover and access any of the components inside the system. See your Product Information Guide for complete information about safety precautions, working inside the computer, and protecting against electrostatic discharge.

1Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.

2Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 65.

3Remove the power supplies. See "Removing a Power Supply" on page 71.

4Remove the system board. See "Removing the System Board" on page 132.

5Remove the seven screws securing the board. See Figure 3-36.

6Lift the power distribution board out of the chassis.
