Important

Never remove the filter holder from its housing immediately after using the steam function.

If you’re making espresso after frothing milk, you need to get rid of any over-hot water that could burn your coffee. Here’s how:

1Place a container underneath the cappuccino and latte system, ensuring the selector knob is at the boiler position ( to boil water for other drinks, tea, fruit drinks. ), then turn the steam/hot water knob anti clockwise. Turn the selector knob to the coffee position ( cleaning ) and allow the water to flow out until the OK light comes on.

2Turn the selector knob to the boiler setting ( filter (one and two cup version) ) to stop the water flowing from the cappuccino and latte system. Turn the steam/hot water knob in a clockwise direction to close.

3The unit is now ready to make coffee.

to boil water for other drinks, tea, fruit drinks.

1Make sure the selector knob is in the off position ( cappuccino and latte system ).

2Check that there is water in the tank.

3Turn the selector knob to the boiler position ( drip tray top, drip tray ).

4Position a container under the cappuccino and latte system.

5When the OK light glows, turn the steam/hot water knob in an anti-clockwise direction then the selector knob to the coffee/hot water position ( liquid coffee outlet/boiler unit ). Hot water will come out of the cappuccino and latte system.

6To stop the flow of hot water return the selector knob to the off position ( descaling ) then turn the steam/hot water knob in a clockwise direction.

Do not dispense hot water from the cappuccino and latte system for longer than 20 seconds in one operation.

liquid coffee outlet/boiler unit

Wipe away any coffee grounds from this area.

At least twice a year carry out the following procedure:

1 Using a screwdriver , remove the screw that holds the outlet of the boiler in place.

2Clean the boiler area with a damp cloth.

3Clean the removed outlet thoroughly in hot soapy water using a brush. Rinse thoroughly. Make sure the holes are not blocked, if necessary use a pin to clean.

descaling

It is advisable to descale the coffee maker after 200 cups of coffee have been made.

1We recommend purchasing a specific product for descaling espresso coffee machines.

2Make sure the filter holder is not attached and position a bowl under the liquid coffee/boiler outlet.

3Pour 1 liter of water and 8.5 oz. descaler into the tank.

4Turn the selector knob to the boiler position ( Manual background ) and wait until the OK light glows.

5Turn the selector knob to the coffee position ( Manual background ) and allow half the solution to flow out. Turn the selector knob back to the off ( Manual background ) position to stop the flow.

6Leave the machine to stand for 15 minutes, then turn the knob to the coffee position ( Manual background ) and allow the tank to completely empty.

7Thoroughly rinse the tank. Fill with fresh water and turn the selector knob to the coffee position ( Manual background ) and allow all the water to flush through.

8Turn the selector knob to the off ( Manual background ) position.

Repairs caused by malfunctioning due to a build up of limescale in the product are not covered by the guarantee if the descaling process is not carried out regularly.
