Set water hardness
1.Make sure the appliance is off (but connec- ted to the mains electricity supply and with the main switch in the I position);
2.Press and hold the 
button for at least 6
seconds. The 
lights come on;
3.Confirm the selection by pressing the 
button.
4.Turn the selection knob and set the level shown by the indicator paper (see previous paragraph).
5.Press the 
button to confirm the setting.
6.Press the 
button to exit the menu.
The machine is now reprogrammed with the new water hardness setting.
Setting the temperature
To modify the temperature of the water used to make the coffee, proceed as follows:
1.With the appliance off and the main switch in
the I position (fig. 3), press the 
button and hold it down until the lights on the con- trol panel come on.
2.Press the 
button to select the re-
quired temperature:
LOWHIGH
3.Press the 
button to confirm the selec- tion. The lights go off.

Important information for correct disposal of the product in accordance with EC Directive 2002/96/EC.
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste.
It must be taken to a special local authority dif- ferentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service.
Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappro- priate disposal and enables the constituent mate- rials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources.
As a reminder of the need to dispose of house- hold appliances separately, the product is mar- ked with a rubbish bin bearing a cross.
