ADJUSTING THE ROLLER EXTENSION TABLESThe roller tables must be set according to these instructions
to avoid snipe. Follow instructions below for both infeed
and outfeed tables.
1. Loosenthreebolts(HH) Fig.25.Loosen justenough
so table can be moved up or down to make the
adjustments described below.
2. Placeashortstraightedge(II)Fig.26atononeside
oftheplaten(JJ)andtouchingtheinsideroller(KK).
3. Adjust the table so that the straight edge will rest
evenlyon theplaten(JJ) Fig.26 andthe topof the
insideroller(KK).Tightenthebolt(HH)thatisdirectly
below the straight edge.
4. Movestraightedge(II)totheothersideofplatenand
adjust table so the straight edge will rest evenly on
the platen and the top of this side of the inside roller.
Tightenthebolt(HH)thatisdirectlybelowthestraight
edge on that side of the table. Then tighten the middle
bolt. Now all three bolts should be tight and the inside
roller should be level with the platen.
5. Placetwodimes(LL)Fig. 27inlinewitheach other,
one at each end of one side of the platen as shown.
6. Placealongstraightedge(oneshowninFig.28is48"
(122cm))onbothdimes(LL)andextenditoutuntilit
alsotouchestheouterroller(MM)Fig.28.
7. Loosenscrews(NN) (oneshown atFig.29) onboth
sides of roller table. loosen just enough so the end of
the roller table can lifted up or pushed down to make
the adjustment described below.
8. Adjusttable(byliftingorloweringtheouterroller)so
that the straight edge will rest evenly on the dimes
(oneisshownat(LL)Fig.28)andthetopoftheouter
roller(MM)Fig.27. Tightenthescrew(NN)that ison
the same side of table as straight edge.
9. Move straight edge and dimes to the other side of the
platen and roller table and repeat STEP 8.
10. Re-check the inside roller for proper alignment as
described in STEP 3. Repeat STEP 3 if needed.
11. Re-check the outer roller for proper alignment as
described in STEP 8. Repeat STEP 8 if needed.
12. Repeat process for other table.
