Messages may appear on the display while using the DN-C550R. The meanings of these messages are explained below.

	Message	Meaning

	TOC Reading	Reading disc information.

	Open	During tray opening.

	Close	During tray closing.

	No Disc	No disc inserted, disc unreadable or disc inserted upside down.

	Now PMA Rec	Updating disc contents.

	Disc Full	No more recording possible.

		No digital recording can be made of the connected source.
	Copy Prohibit	See “Digital Copies (SCMS)” on Page 6.
	Copy Prohibit	Data signals other than audio signals have been input.
		Data signals other than audio signals have been input.
		These signals are not recorded.

	Finalize .*	Time countdown when finalizing a disc.

	PlaybackOnly	When trying to record on a finalized CD-R or a prerecorded CD.

	Now OPC	During laser power calibration for unfinalized discs.

	OPC Error	OPC failure during OPC procedure
	OPC Error	(OPC = Optimum Power Calibration)

	Rec Error	An error has occurred during recording.

	Disc Error	Recording or finalization is not possible due to a disc fault.

	Blank Disc	When attempting to edit text for a disc which has no tracks.

	No Name	No text stored for disc.

	Sync. -**dB	Setting value of the synchro recording starting level.

		There is an incomplete connection of the digital input jack during

		due to some other factor.

	Message	Meaning

	Name Full	23 text characters have already been input or a total of 900 characters

	All Skip Tr	Skip is set for all tracks.

	Complete	Mode reception has been completed.

	TextEraseOK?	If the disc is removed, all the text information is cleared.

	CD-R Short	The recordable time on the disc is shorter than the time of the
