Setting the Sleep Timer
Use this function to automatically switch the power to the standby mode after a specific amount of time (minutes).

Getting
The sleep timer can be set to up to 90 minutes, in steps of 10 minutes.
1Select and play the desired function.

b After about 5 seconds, the set returns to as it was before the sleep timer was set.
nCanceling the sleep timer
Either press [SLEEP/TIMER] at step 2 under “Setting the Sleep Timer” until “SLEEPOFF” is displayed, or press ON/STANDBY.
nChecking the time remaining until the sleep timer starts
Press [SLEEP/TIMER].
Convenient Functions
Auto Power On
When the power is in standby, the power turns on when any of the buttons below other than ON/STANDBY is operated, and the
respective operation is performed.
•<2/5>···············The disc tray opens.
•1/3 for the different functions
·························Playback of that source starts.
•[TUNER]·············Playback of the tuner starts.
•[2]····················Change the function to “CD” and switch the power on.
•[PHONO]············Change the function to “PHONO” and switch the power on.
•[LINE1/LINE2]·····Change the function to the finally set “LINE” and switch the power on.
NOTE
When the iPod can be played, press [iPod 1/3] to start iPod playback.
Auto Function Selector Function
When one of the buttons below is pressed, the function switches to the respective function and playback of that source starts.
•1/3··················The function switches to “CD” and the CD starts playing.
•[2]····················The function switches to “CD” and the stop.
•[iPod 1/3]········The function switches to “iPod” and the iPod starts playing.
•[TUNER]·············The functions switches to “TUNER” and the band last set is tuned in.
Last Function Memory
This stores the settings as they were directly before the standby mode was set.
When the power is turned back on, the settings are restored to as they were directly before the standby mode was set.
Resetting the Microprocessor
Perform this procedure if the display is abnormal or if operations cannot be performed.
When the microprocessor is reset, all the settings are reset to their default values.
1Unplug the power cord.
2Plug the power cord into a power outlet while pressing <+/9> and <SOURCE> simultaneously.
After about 15 seconds “RESET” is displayed to indicate that the microprocessor has been reset.
If “RESET” is not displayed in step 2, start over from step 1.
