4. Getting Started

The following sections provide step-by-step instructions on setting up a MemoryFrame for the first time.

4.1Unpacking a MemoryFrame

The MemoryFrame unit is wrapped in a cardboard shock-absorbent holder. Remove the entire cardboard shock-absorbent holder from the box, and unfold the cardboard so that it lies flat. Gently slide the MemoryFrame from out of the “shrink-wrap” material.

4.2 Product Serial Number & Registration

Please record the model and serial number from the bar coded label located on the rear of the MemoryFrame, as shown in Figure 1, for reference. The serial number is required for Technical Support and Product Registration.

In order to receive one year of free technical support, The MemoryFrame must be registered. MemoryFrame can be registered online at: http://www.dsicentral.com/register or fill-out and mail the included mail- in registration card.

4.3 Removing the Protective Cover from the LCD

The MemoryFrame ships with a protective plastic cover over the LCD screen to prevent the screen from being scratched or damaged during shipment. It is easy to remove, and reusable.
