MAINTENANCE

Replacing UV lamp

The UV lamp needs to be replaced when the alarm lamp lights up on the control panel. First check whether the water purifier needs to be descaled instead.

Use only a genuine UV lamp from your dealer, to ensure that microbiologically safe water is supplied from the water purifier. See section “Consumable parts”.

1 Disconnect the water purifier by pressing the ON/OFF button.

2.Disconnect the power supply to the water purifier with the safety switch in the central electrical unit.

3.Remove top cover.

4.Remove the insulation above the UV lamp. Remove the socket from the lamp by pulling it straight up, see fig. H

5.Pull out the lamp, see fig. I.

Do not touch the new lamp glass with your fin- gers, as fingerprints reduce the UV intensity.

6.Install a new UV lamp. Carefully press the lamp down until it clicks into place and no longer can be turned.

7.Connect the socket to the new lamp.

8.Refit the insulation.

9.Refit the top cover and switch on the current to the water purifier using the safety switch in the central electrical unit.

10.Start the water purifier with the ON/OFF button.

11.Flush the water purifier for 1 minute.

Return the old UV-lamp to your dealer as it contains mercury, which is very harmful to the environment.

Disinfection

In tanks containing standing water there is a risk of bacterial and algae growth. The tank, hoses and water purifier must be disin- fected regularly.

Disinfectant can be purchased from caravan/mobile homes dealers.

1.Empty the water purifier, see section “Draining”.

2.Remove the filter, see fig. F on the previous page.

3.Refit the filter lid and the top cover on the water puri- fier and switch on the current to the water purifier using the safety switch in the central electrical unit.

4.Open the shut off valve on the inlet hose and switch on the water purifier with the ON/OFF button.

5.Disinfect the system according to the instructions on the disinfectant’s packaging.

6.Flush the system according to the instructions on the disinfectant’s packaging.

7.Empty the water purifier again, see section “Draining”.

8.Refit the filter.

9.Refit the filter lid and the top cover on the water puri- fier and switch on the current to the water purifier using the safety switch.

10.Open the shut off valve on the inlet hose.

11.Start the purifier by pressing the ON/OFF button.
