Configuring a dynamic IP address

When the drivers are installed, the default setting is to obtain an IP address dynamically through a DHCP server.

If you need to check or change the settings, do the following:

1Click Start, Settings, then click Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens.

2Double-click Network. The Network window opens.

3Click TCP/IP, then click Properties. The TCP/IP window opens. If TCP/IP is not present, see “Installing TCP/IP” on page 8.
