5-1. Attaching an Arm

The LCD monitor can be used with an arm by removi ng the tilt stand and attaching the ar m stand to the LCD
monitor.
NOTE
When at taching an arm or stand, follow the i nstructions of their user’s manual.
• When usi ng another manufacture r’s arm or stand, conrm the followi ng in advance and select one conformi ng to the
VESA standard. Use M4 × 12 mm screws supplied with t he monitor.
- Cleara nce between the screw holes: 100 mm × 100 mm
- Thick ness of plate: 2.6 mm
- Strong enoug h to support weight of the monitor unit (except the st and) and attachments such a s cables.
Use the screws as de scribede below.

When usi ng an arm or stand, attach it to me et the following tilt angles of the monitor.
- Up 45 degrees, dow n 45 degrees (horizontal display, and vertica l display rotated 90 degrees clockwise)
Connect t he cables after attaching an a rm.
Do not adjust the heig ht of the stand removed from the monitor. When adjust ed without attached monitor, it causes the
personnel injury or the dama ged to the stand.
• Since the monit or and arm are so heavy, dropping the m may result in injury or equipme nt damage.

Setup Procedure

1 Lay the LCD monitor on a soft cloth spread over on a stable surface with the

panel surface facing down.

2 Remove the stand.
Unscrew the four screws securing the unit and t he stand with the screwdriver.
3 Attach the monitor to the arm or stand.
Use the screws that hold the monitor and stand together for installation.
