2-4. Screen Adjustment
●Digital Signal Input
When digital signals are input, images are d isplayed correctly based on the preset data of the monitor, but if
characters and / or lines appear blur red, go to “To modify blurred characters / line s” (page 23).
When performing more advanced adjust ment, see “2-3. Adjusting Color” (page 14) and subsequent pages.
●Analog Signal Input
Attention
• It takes about 30 m inutes for the performance of elect rical parts to stabiliz e. Please wait 30 minutes or more after the
monitor power has been turned on, a nd then adjust the monitor.
• The Self Adjust (automatic sc reen adjustment) function does not work for the i mages under the resolution of 800 × 600
(SVGA).
• The self adjust ment (or automatic screen adjustment) func tion works correctly when an image is f ully displayed over the
Windows or Macintosh display area. They do not work prop erly in the cases below:
- When a n image is displayed only on a part of the scre en (command prompt window, for example)
- When a black b ackground (wallpaper, etc.) is in use
Also, these functions cannot work pr operly in some graphic boards.
The monitor screen adjustment is used to suppress ickering of the screen or adjust screen position and screen
size correctly according to the PC to be used.
Note
• The Self Adjust f unction works when all of the following conditions a re satised:
- When a sig nal is input into the monitor for the rs t time or when a resolution or vertical / hori zontal scan frequency
not used before is set
If the screen is not displayed correctly even after perfor ming the Self Adjust operation, adjust the screen
according to the procedures on the following pages to use the mon itor comfortably.
Setting Procedures
1. Perform the auto adjustment.

Procedure
1. Choose “Screen” i n the Setting menu, and press .
2. Choose “Analog Adjustment” in the “Sc reen” menu, and press .
3. Choose “Auto Screen Adjust” in the “Analog Adjustment” menu, and pre ss .
4. Select “Yes” with or , and press .
Flickering, screen position, and scre en size are corrected by the aut o-adjustment function.
