Starting the Command Line Interface

When you are in Configure or Enable mode, use the exit command or press Ctrl+Z to exit to the previous access mode.

Note: When you exit Configure mode, the CLI will ask you whether you want to activate the configuration commands you have issued. If you enter yes or y, the configuration commands you issued are placed into effect and the XP-2000’s configuration is changed accordingly. However, the changes are not written to the Startup configuration file in the XP-2000’s boot flash and therefore are not reinstated after a reboot. See Activating Configuration Changes and Saving the Configuration File on page 60 for information about saving configuration changes.

Basic Line Editing Commands

The CLI supports EMACs-like line editing commands. The following table lists some commonly used commands. For a complete set of commands, see the The TeraLink 2000 Series Library: User Reference.
