Viewing the PoE Port StatusIfthe4G4285‐49or4G4205‐72isinstalledinanN5chassisorifthe4G4285‐49isreceiving
48VdcfromanexternalN‐POEPowerSystem,youcanviewthepowerstatusindications
ontheRXandTXLEDs.However,onlyonegroupofportsmaybeviewedatatime.To
viewthePoEportstatus,refertoFigure 4‐1orFigure 4‐2andproceedasfollows:
1. PresstheGROUPSELECTbuttonformorethanonesecond.TheDFEmodulewill
enterthePoEportstatusmode.
2. Now,everytimeyoupresstheGROUPSELECTbuttonforlessthanasecond,the
GROUPLEDlightsupinsequence,indicatingwhichGroupisselected.ThePoE
POWERSTATUSforthatgroupofsegmentsisthenindicatedbytheRXandTXLEDs
foreachsegment.Ifthereispowerattheport,theRXLEDisgreenandtheTXLEDis
off.Otherwise,refertoTable 4 ‐1fortroubleshootinginformation.
3. PresstheGROUPSELECTbuttonagainformorethanonesecond.Thisreturnsthe
DFEmoduletothedefaultstatusmodetomonitorRX(receive)andTX(transmit)
activity.

Note: The terms flashing, blinking, solid, alternately are used in Tabl e 4-1 to indicate
the following:
•Flashing indicates LED is flashing randomly.
•Blinking indicates LED is flashing at a steady rate (approximately 50% on, 50% off).
•Solid indicates a steady LED light. No pulsing.
•Alternately indicates LED is flashing in a steady rate other than 50% on, 50% off.
