When you use the built-in flash, make sure that you are
within the effective flash range of 50 to 320centimeters for
a wide-angle shot, and 50 to 230 centimeters for a telephoto
shot. When using the macro feature, you can position the
camera 30 to 50 centimeters away from the subject.
If you are using the macro feature to take close-up photos,
be sure to provide adequate lighting for your subject, since
the camera’s aperture is automatically set to the smallest
setting.
Your picture is too light (overexposed).
When you use the flash and the macro feature together,
you may find that your pictures come out too light, since
the flash is close to the subject. In this case, try setti ng the
flash to (off).
If you are facing a bright light source, you may need to
take your picture from a different angle.
Use image-editing software to adjust the picture’s
brightness and contrast.
Part of your picture is missing.
Make sure that you are not blocking the lens with your
finger, the strap, clothing, or other objects.
The wrong date and/or time is displayed on your camera.
If you remove the batteries from your camera for a certain
period of time, you may need to reset the clock. See
“Setting the Time and Date” on page 65 to set the clock
using the LCD monitor.
