
9. Insert a thin screwdriver intothe drilled hole, locatedat theright edge of therear CR guideshaft
and adjustthe platengap by moving the screwdriver toforward or backward until thegap is large
enough for a0.36 mmthickness gauge but toonarrow for a 0.40mm thicknessgauge.
10. When the gapis correct at the5th column, check the platen gapat the 80th,and thenthe 130th
column positions.
11. If the platen gapis wider atthe 5th column thanthe 130th column, adjustthe parallelismfor the
rearCR guide shaft bymoving the parallelismadjustment bushing backward. If theplaten gapis
morenarrow for the 5thcolumn than the 130thcolumn, adjust the parallelism of theCR guide
shaft bymoving the parallelismadjustment bushing forward. Refer tothe following figure.
12. Continue performing adjustment steps 8 to11 until theplaten gap is correct atall 3 positions.
After completing theadj ustment,remove thescrewdriver from the rear CR guideshaft.
13. After inserting the ribbon maskin theribbon mask holderand installing the printheadinto CR
assembly,tighten the 2 CBS screws (3×8,F/Zn) to attach theprinthead.
14. Tighten the hexagon nut(standard, M4) securingthe PG adjust lever.
