The scanner does not scan. 4-8 The scanner software does not work properly. Pushing the astart button does not start scanning. Quality problems The entire image is distorted or blurred. 4-10 Part of the image is distorted or blurred. Edges of the document are not scanned. Colors are patchy or distorted at the edges of the image. The scanned image is faint or out of focus. The image is too dark. Straight lines in the image come out jagged. 4-12 The image does not look the same as the original. A line always appears to be missing from scanned images. When using halftoning, textured patterns of dots appear inside particular areas of the image. Colors in the image look odd. Colors on your monitor are different from those in the original image. 4-14 Printed colors are different from those in the original image. The printed image is larger or smaller than the original. Scanned images cannot be printed or come out garbled when printed.
