To connect your printer to a parallel interface:

1.Place the printer in a convenient location next to your system, as shown in Figure 1-9 for example.

2.Before connecting any cables, make sure the power switches on both the main unit and the monitor are switched off, If you are not sure which cable you need, consult your dealer.

3.One end of the printer cable has a 25-pin male D-connector. (Refer to your printer manual to determine which end this is.) Connect this end to the socket marked PARALLEL on the back panel of the main unit. If the plug has retaining screws, tighten them with a small screwdriver.

4.Connect the other end of the cable to the printer. To secure the cable, tighten the squeeze locks at each side of the printer port and into the connectors on each side of the cable as shown in Figure 1-10.
