Note:
When battery power is low and the flash is used t o take a
picture, the return to live preview may be delayed w hi l e th e
camera recharges the flash. The LCD screen will be blank
during this period.
You can erase the photo you have just taken. Press the
function button and BACK button at the same time,
while your camera is still processing the photo.
Picture-taking Range The camera should be at least 50 cm away from the
subject when composing a shot through the viewfinder.
Close-up photos can be taken from as near as 10 cm to
the subject using the macro mode. See page 2-10 for
instructions.
Note:
To make sure your subject is framed accurately, use of the LCD
monitor rather than the v iewfinder is recommended when
taking photos in macro mode.
You can take flash pictures within a range of 20 cm to
2.4 m. See page 2-9 for more information on using the
built-in flash.
When you use the flash in macro mode, you may find
your pictures come out too light, since the flash is close to
the subject. In this case, try setting the flash to Flash off.
Note:
When you are taking pic tures outdoors, make su re the sun is
behind you. In very bright light (for example, at the beach or in
snow) your pictures may come out too light. H ow ever, you can
adjust the exposure manually to make your phot os brighter or
darker. For instructi ons, see page 2-11. Y ou can also correct
these problems from your computer using ima ge-editing
software.
