BELT ROUTING
3. Reinstall the belt guide removed in Step 1.
4. Remove Discharge chut e by pulling t he hairpin and chute pivot pin (f rom the Drive Kit
installed in section 3.2) .
5. Remove the Belt Cover on the r ight side of the deck. Install the Blower by inserting the
mounting pin int o the tube welded to the rear corner of the deck. Pivot the blower until the
fr ont pin engages the slot in t he deck. Adjust the position of t he front pin if necessary to
engage the slot. Use the lat ch to lock the blower in this position. Adjust tension on lat ch
to draw blower up to deck, yet allow release by hand.
6. Pull the idler release handle and inst all the belt in the upper g roove of the deck sheave.
7. Install the Belt Cover using the two knobs. Install the discharg e t ube assem b ly by slipping
the upper end into t he hood, then sliding the lower end over the blower discharg e
opening. Use t he latch to retain t he lower end to t he blower.
8. Follow the operation instruct ions in Section 5 to run the unit. Run the unit with the blades
and blower engaged for 2 minutes. Disengage the blades, shut off the motor, and
remove the key.
9. Remove the belt cover and check t o m a ke sure that t he belt is r iding near the center of
the f lat idler on the idler arm. I f the belt is not riding near the cent er of the idler, r emove
the blower, and bend the idler arm slightly. Reinst all t he blower and belt cover and
perf or m steps 8 and 9 again to verif y belt posit ion.

blower or deck.
