7. Re-install the deck drive belt in the lower gr oove of the double sheave. Install t he
plug (I t em 24) into the bore of the double sheave.
8. Remove the discharge chut e from t he deck. Discard the mounting hardware, but
save the discharge chute for use during side discharge operat ion. The chute pivot
pin (Item 21) and hairpin (Item 22) may be stored in the pivot holes on the dischar ge
chute during bagging oper at ion.

9. Remove the belt g uide on t he blower (s ee Figure3)
10. Install the belt (I tem 13) included in the completing kit ont o t he blower assembly as shown.
11. Reinstall the belt guide r em oved in step 9.

12. If t he Ultra Vac is being installed on a Lazer Z with a serial number less than 260,000, it is
recommended t o r eplace t he steel blocker plate m ounted across the bott om of the blower
with the small f iller plate included in the completing kit. Refer to figure on page 26, Items
48 and 49. Use the hardware that was removed when removing the large blocker plat e.
Failure to install a blocker plate w ill create a thrown object hazard that could injure
or kill bystanders, or cause property damage. This modif icat ion should not be done if
the Ultra Vac blower will be mounted on a Lazer Z with a serial number of 260,000 or
higher.
13. The front righ t deck stif fener must be t rimmed f or belt clearance on 52” Lazer Z units.
Measure and mark the deck stiffener per Figure 4. T r im off t he indicated portion of t he
stif fener. Touch up the trim m ed ar ea with Exmark red touchup paint – P/ N 1- 850337.
