Gas Cooktop Operation
Gas Control Knob Setting
Electric ignitors automatically light the surface burners when control knobs are turned to LITE.
Before setting a control knob, place filled cookware on the grate.
Do not operate a burner using empty cookware or without cookware on the grate.
To set:
1.Push in and turn knob counterclockwise to LITE. All four surface burners will click.
Only the burner with the control knob turned to LITE will produce a flame.
2.Turn knob anywhere between HI and LO.
Use the following chart as a guide when setting heat levels.
Model with automatic re-ignition
This appliance is equipped for electronic auto- reignition by means of a spark igniter located near each burner.
The burners are designed to light at any valve rotation that admits sufficient gas flow to support a flame and to automatically relight following a loss of flame due to a draft or other adverse condition.
This feature is provided as a convenience and is not intended as a safety feature.
The cooktop uses an electronic igniter to light the burner.
Each burner has its own igniter that sparks when any burner is turned on.
When the igniters are clicking (sparking) do not touch burners.
If any burner flame blows out, the electronic igniter automatically sparks on all burners to relight the flame.
