Retirez le sac plastique qui recouvre l'épurateur d'air. Sélectionnez l'emplacement pour votre épurateur d'air, un endroit assez proche d'une prise de courant.

Remarque : N'utilisez pas un cordon prolongateur avec votre épurateur d'air.

N'oubliez pas que l'épurateur d'air doit être placé là où l'air peut librement pénétrer par la grille avant, et sortir par la grille supérieure (figure 1). Ne mettez jamais votre épurateur d'air sur des surfaces non rigides (comme lits, fauteuils ou tapis), pas non plus près d'ordinateurs ou de sources de chaleur (comme dessus de cuisinière, fours, etc.).

Utilisation

AVERTISSEMENT : N'utilisez pas cet épurateur d'air élec- tronique là où l'oxygène est utilisé, ou si des gaz com- bustibles sont présents.

Branchez l'appareil dans une prise de courant standard. (Voyez l'éti- quette signalétique à la partie inférieure de l'épurateur d'air, pour obtenir la consommation et les spécifications électriques.)

AVERTISSEMENT : Pour réduire le risque de décharge élec- trique, les modèles de 120 V/60 Hz comportent une fiche polarisée (une broche est plus large que l'autre). Cette fiche s'adapte dans une prise polarisée, d'une seule manière. Si la fiche ne rentre pas complètement dans la prise, inversez-la. Si elle ne s'adapte toujours pas, prenez contact avec une personne compétente, pour qu'elle vous installe une prise appropriée. Ne modifiez la fiche d'aucune façon.

Mettez l'appareil en marche en tournant l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt sur la vitesse voulue.

1 (Basse), 2 (Moyenne), 3 (Élevée) – (figure 3). Votre épurateur d'air doit être réglé sur 3 (vitesse élevée) pendant une minute, initiale- ment, avant de passer à la vitesse voulue. Votre épurateur d'air électronique est conçu pour un fonctionnement continu – le rende- ment optimum est obtenu quand l'épurateur d'air reste continuelle- ment en marche.
