Illustrated Parts Catalog

This chapter provides an illustrated parts breakdown and a
reference for spare part numbers and option part numbers.
✎Reference is made throughout this chapter to “Best Buy 1” and
“Best Buy 2” computer models. These references apply to
HP Pavilion dv1400 models that are sold in Best Buy retail
stores that use plastic components with different colors.

3.1 Serial Number Location

When ordering parts or requesting information, provide the
computer serial number and model number located on the bottom
of the computer.
