Host Computer and Network Preparation
Direct connection between a single host computer and a single device with 10/100BaseT is possible, but you must use a special cable that has its transmit and receive lines crossed.
The typical general network configuration uses 10BaseT Twisted Pair Ethernet for interconnection (shown).
