Use this mode to take close-up shots.Available Photography modes: B, , , , , N, M, <, >Press e(p) to select Macro mode.The Macro mode setting changes each time you press thee(p).N 25 eor >appears on the screen indicating that you can take close-up shots.

MEMO

•Use a tripod to prevent camera shake in Macro mode.•Any of the following cancels Macro mode:-Changing the Mode dial to m, ,, ?(except for ) or rmode-Turning the camera off•If the flash is too bright, use flash brightness adjustment (➝P.95).

•Even if MULTI (➝p.93) in the HAF-mode is set, the camera focuses near the center of the screen.

•AF-assist may not function correctly if the camera is up close to the subject, such as in macro-mode.

Super macro
•The flash cannot be used when Super macro is set.•Super macro cannot be used when NATURAL & d is set.

Use the lens at the wide- angle zoom setting in Super macro mode. If your camera select any other settings, and { appear on the screen. Turn the zoom ring to adjust zoom setting as indicated .
