USET-UP How to use the SET-UP menu (➝p.122)

FORMAT

Initialize (format) the xD-Picture Card or internal memory for use with the camera.

AUTO POWER OFF

When this function is active and the camera remains unused for 2 or 5 minutes, it turns camera off.

Use this function when you want to get the maximum possible running time from your batteries.

CAUTION

The Auto power off function is disabled during automatic playback (➝p.100), discharging rechargeable batteries (➝p.159), and when a printer or a PC connection (➝p.136, 146) is being used.

APress por q to select OK.BPressing MENU/OK initializes the xD- Picture Card or internal memory.

CAUTION

•The Format function erases all the frames (files), including protected frames (files).

Back up important frames (files) onto your PC or another media.

•Do not open the battery cover or slot cover during formatting, as formatting will be interrupted.
