The flash distance will vary depending upon the film speed (sensitivity to light or ISO rating). When using the flash, keep the subject within the flash range indicated in the chart below.

Advanced Techniques
/When the a, d, f or w mode is selected and it is very dark, the flash will fire 1 – 4 times when the shutter button pressed down halfway to illumi- nate the subject and assist the auto- focus.
/When the hmode (➜p.38) is select- ed, the g mode is set and the other mode cannot be selected.
/When the q mode (➜p.39) is selected while setting the d or w mode, the a mode is selected and the flash mode cannot be chosen other than a, f or g mode.
