Your camera uses standard 35mm film. Almost all 35mm films will have a DX coding symbol on the film box and on the film holder itself.

1Check that there is no film in the camera and that the picture counter is not showing.

2Slide the camera back lock slowly in the direction of the arrow as shown in the picture at left.

3Open the camera back as shown.

/If non-DX coded film is used, the cam- era’s automatic exposure system sets itself to ISO 100.

/Always load and remove film from the camera away from direct sunlight.

/When loading or removing the film, take care not to touch the lens, and prevent dust or other debris from getting in the camera. If needed clean the camera using

the “Common Sense Camera Care” on page 45.

2Never open the camera back while the film is in use in the camera. Before tak- ing out the film, refer to page 26.

3Do not apply force to the camera back.
