The minimum spaces that must be maintained between the appliance cooking surface and the horizontal surface above the cooking top shall be:

A = 24 inches (600 mm) minimum when bottom of wood or metal cabinet is protected by no less than 1/4-inch-thick flame-retardant millboard covered with no less than No. 28 MSG sheet steel, 0.015-inch-thick stainless steel, 0.024-inch-thick aluminimum, or 0.020-inch-thick copper.

There must always be a non combustible surface between the top of the cooking surface (3) and the bottom of the cabinet (2).

The building back wall (1) and building side walls (4 / 5) must consist of non combustible material or must be protected by no less than 1/4-inch-thick flame-retardant millboard covered with no less than No. 28 MSG sheet steel, 0.015-inch-thick stainless steel, 0.024-inch-thick aluminimum, or 0.020-inch- thick copper.

Caution! We do not recommend installation of the appliance under a ventilator hood. Fire risk!

However, if the appliance is used exclusively with our accessory griddle plate AM 060-000, installation of the appliance under a ventilator hood is possible. The minimun distance is 24 inches (600 mm).

Installation next to a Gaggenau downdraft ventilator is possible, please contact your Gaggenau dealer who will provide you with more information.
