Charcoal Filter
The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned. It must be replaced. OrderPart No. WB02X10943 from your GE supplier.
If the model is not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through a disposablecharcoal filterthat helps remove smoke and odors.
The charcoal filter should be replaced when it is noticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6 to 12 months, depending on usage). See “Optional Kits,” page 7, for moreinformation.

Remove 2 grille screws
to remove the grille.
To Remove the Charcoal Filter
WARNING!
Toavoid personalinjuryor property damage, do not operate oven hoodwithoutfilters
in place.
1 | Unplug the ovenor turn off power |
| at the main power supply. |
2 | Remove the two vent grille mounting |
| screws (2 middle screws). |
3 | Tip the grilleforward, then lift out |
| to remove. |
4 | Remove the old filter. |

2 | The filter should rest at the angle shown. |
Slidethe bottom of the grilleinto place. |
Push the top until it snaps into place. Replace the mounting screws. Turn the power back on at the main power supply and set the clock.
