Using the remote control

The remote control ‘talks’ to the receiver using an infrared link between the sensor on the remote control and the sensor on the front of the receiver. (Infrared light is an invisible beam of light that is often found on objects that ‘talk to’ other objects, such as TV remotes and TVs.)

You can use the remote control up to six metres away from the receiver, and at an angle of 30 degrees to the receiver’s front panel (see below). The remote control will not work if there is something between the remote control and the receiver. If you use your remote control in direct sunlight or very bright light, it may mean the remote control does not work as well as usual.
