REMOTE CONTROL BUTTONS

CONTROL THE RECEIVER

Whenyou get the remote it’salready setuptocontrol
thereceiver. But,you must set up the remote to control
theTV before you can use the Mute and Vol ume buttons.
Onlythe buttons we tell you about here controlthe
receiver. Some of the buttonswe tell you about here
mayno t controlyour receiver. Pleasesee the receiver
UserGuide for info about the receiver’s features.
Pleaseremember, the outsidefront cover of this Guide
showsyou the whole remote control.

SAT MODE BUTTON

PressthisbuttontosettheremotetoSat(“satellite”)mode
tocontrol the receiver. The Sat mode button’s back light
flashesonce to show you’ve set the remoteto Sat mode.
Make sure you keep the remote in Sat mode to use
thebuttons we tell you about here.
TV/VIDEOBU TTON
Ifyou connect the receiver withits back panel
TVAntenna/Cable In and TV Set Out ports, use this
buttonto switch the receiver betweenthe satellite signal
(connectit to the Satellite In port) and another video signal
likea cable or broadcast TV antennainput (connect it
tothe receiver’s TV Antenna/Cable In input).
Note: Ifyou connect the receiverto other devices
withthe phono (RCA) jacks or the S-Video output,
youmust use the menus each device displaysto change
theinput from local broadcast TVto satellite TV.

POWER BUTTONS

Pressthe blank Power button to turn the receiveron
oro ff. T he green Power light on the receiver’sfront
panelturns on to show the receiveris on, and turns off
tos how it’s off.
Note: To use th e TVPower button, you must set up
theremotetocontroltheTV.PleaseseeSetUpthe
