WALL INSTALLATION

Construction and Installation
NOTES:
1. Be certain that the location of the air conditioner in the wall conforms to all local building codes
before installation.
2. Consult with a qualified carpenter concerning installation.
3. When installing the air conditioner in a through-the-wall application, work from inside the room.
4. Each through-the-wall installation may be unique; therefore no additional parts are included.
5. Be certain that the section of the wall being used:
• Does not have electrical wiring in the location where the air conditioner will be installed.
• Does not have plumbing pipes in the location where the air conditioner will be installed.
• An existing electrical outlet that matches the power supply cord plug of the air conditioner. If no
outlet exists or the wrong type of mating outlet is present, consult with a qualified electrician to
install the proper outlet.
• Does not support major structural components.
• The finished sides of the wall opening should be structural wall members.
• Outside areas are not blocked.
See “Electrical Requirements" for full detail.

• Structural integrity of the wall must be maintained. Professional installation is strongly

recommended.
