This appliance is approved to be installed with a clearance to the ceiling and/or other projections of 34-3/8 inch minimum from the top of the fireplace (see Figure 11.1).

Finishing materials for the top of the fireplace base must be noncombustible and removable for access to controls. All clearances must be maintained (see Figure 11.3).
