This appliance is approved to be installed with a clearance to the ceiling and/or other projections of 34-3/8 inch minimum from the top of the ﬁreplace (see Figure 11.1).

Finishing materials must not interfere with:

•Air ﬂow through grilles or louvers.

•Operation of louvers or doors.

•Access for service.

•Install combustible materials only up to specified clearances on top, front and side.

•Seal joints between the ﬁnished wall and appliance top and sides using only a 300º F minimum sealant.

Finishing materials for the top of the ﬁreplace base must be noncombustible and removable for access to controls. All clearances must be maintained (see Figure 11.3).
