!WARNING

Use only kerosene or No. 1 fuel oil to avoid risk of fire or explosion. Never use gasoline, crankcase drainings, naphtha, paint thinners, alcohol, or other highly flammable fuels.

Use only kerosene or No. 1 fuel oil. Do not use heavy fuels such as No. 2 fuel oil or No. 2 diesel. The use of heavy fuels will result in:

clogging of fuel filter and nozzle

carbon build up on spark plug

the need of non-toxic anti-icer in fuel during very cold weather

Do not use No. 3 fuel oil or heavy oils such as crankcase drainings. These heavy oils will not ignite properly and will contaminate the heater.

IMPORTANT: Use a KEROSENE ONLY storage container. Be sure storage container is clean. Foreign matter such as rust, dirt or water will cause the heater’s flame-out control to shut down heater. Foreign matter may also require heater’s fuel system to be frequently cleaned.

!WARNING

Provide a fresh air opening of at least one (1) square foot (930 square cm) for each 35,000 Btu/HR rating. Provide extra fresh air if more heaters are being used. The minimum venti- lation requirements must be followed to avoid risks associated with carbon monoxide poisoning. Make certain these requirements are met prior to operating heater.

Example: A 150 model heater requires one of the following:

a two-car garage door raised six (6) inches (15.24 cm)

a single-car garage door raised nine (9) inches (22.86 cm)

two (2) thirty-inch (76.20 cm) windows raised twelve (12) inches (30.48 cm)
