TROUBLESHOOTING

IF THESE SOLUTIONS DO NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM CONTACTYOUR AUTHORIZED SERVICE DEALER.

PROBLEM

POSSIBLE CAUSE

SOLUTION

 

 

 

 

 

Engine will not start:

1. No spark.

1. Check spark. Remove spark plug. Reattach

repeat test with a new spark plug.

2.Clean air filter. Refer to “Replacing and Cleaning Air Filter” earlier in this manual.

3.Contact a servicing dealer.

Engine starts, runs, and accelerates but will not idle:

Idle speed screw on carburetor needs adjustment.

Turn idle speed screw clockwise to increase idle speed. See Figure 22.
