Draining the Fuel Tank and Carburetor
DRAINSCREW
Gasoline is highly flammable and
explosive.
You can be burned or seriously
injured when handling fuel.
Stop the engine and keep heat,
sparks, and flame away.
Handle fuel only outdoors.
Wipe up spills immediately.
Place a suitable gasoline container
below the carburetor drain hose.
Loosen the carburetor drainscrew
and drain the gasoline from the
carburetor.
After all the fuel has drained into the
container, tighten the drain screw
securely.
Place an approved gasoline container below the sediment cup,and
use a funnel to avoid spilling fuel.
Remove the sediment cup, then move the fuel valve leverto the ON
position (see page ).
Allow the fuel to drain completely, then reinstall the sediment cup
(see page ).
