3. Move the PTO lever to the ON (Engaged) position.

always engage and disengage the PTO lever with a quick, smooth motion.

4. Move the shift lever to select the desired ground speed position.
When operating the lawn tractor on rough or uneven terrain, select a
ground speed that will give you safe ground speed while the engine is run-
ning at full throttle.
