Do not load more than 45 sheets of plain paper or a stack of paper more than 0.18 in (4.5 mm) thick into the input tray.
Insert media vertically (portrait orientation). If you want to print horizontally (landscape orientation), make the selection through your printer driver.

Loading print media
You can print cards and photographs using the input tray or the card slot.
1Remove all media from the input tray. Flip down the card slot if necessary.
2If your media is 4 x 5 in (101.6 x 152 mm), insert the media print (glossy for photos) side up into the card slot. Ensure that the right edge of the media is squarely against the right edge of the slot. Adjust the paper guide on the slot until it fits snugly against the left edge of the media.
