4Choose a location and environment for your HP PSC 500.
X Use your HP PSC 500 only within normal room temperature and humidity ranges. For recommended ranges, see “Environmental Specifications” in Chapter 6 of the HP PSC 500 Customer Care Guide.
X Avoid direct sunlight or locations where a quick change in
temperature might cause condensation inside the unit.
X Make sure the location is well ventilated. Dust, gases, or fumes (such as ammonia or paint thinner) can damage the unit.
X Choose a site that is level, flat, and stable. The HP PSC 500 vibrates and needs to be on a sturdy surface.
X Be sure a grounded outlet is nearby and easily accessible.
