3.Remove the subwoofer (2).
NOTE: The subwoofer includes four rubber isolators (3). These isolators are crucial to the performance of the subwoofer.
Reverse this procedure to install the subwoofer.
Optical drive connector cable
NOTE: The optical drive connector cable is included in the optical drive spare part kit. See Optical drive on page 53 for optical drive spare part number information.
Before removing the optical drive connector cable, follow these steps:
1.Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.Remove the battery (see Battery on page 47), and then remove the following components:
a.Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 48)
b.Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 53)
c.Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 59)
d.Top cover (see Top cover on page 63)
e.System board (see System board on page 77)
f.Subwoofer (see Subwoofer on page 89)
