To use the Windows 95 Add/Remove Programs utility:

1Click Start on the Windows 95 taskbar.

2Select Settings.

3Click Control Panel.

4Double-clickAdd/Remove Programs.

5Click the program you want to remove.

6Click Add/Remove.

7Click OK.

Removing Icons from the Windows 95 Desktop

There are two types of icons, and they are removed differently:

◆Shortcut icons These are identified by an arrow in the lower-left corner of the icon. You can drag them to the Recycle Bin.

(Icons created by installing new programs are shortcuts.)

◆Program icons Some icons, such as the Microsoft Recycle Bin and My Computer icons, are not removable. Some icons, such as the Inbox icon, however, can be removed by following the directions that follow.
